Sun Sign Reflections

I'm kinda tired, and have had just a wee bit of vodka to relax and sleep well, so this might come out weird. But I've had these thoughts bouncing around my brain for a while, and I'd like to get them out. Not a whole lot of room left in there. ;)

I really believe there is something to the whole horoscope thing, and sun signs, moon signs, etc. And while I am definitely no expert, I can see correlations with different people and signs. So that prompted me to wonder why one person can be absolutely normal, and another with the same sign be completely mental. But there are connections. Take my sign for instance. My ex shares the same sign. He is a control freak and tended to be obsessive and possessive. I can see similar traits in myself. However, the obsessiveness is toned down to simple loyalty. And I can take the reins and lead if I need to, but I know when ( and prefer) to follow someone else. I like control over my own self, but not over those around me.

As for the possessiveness and jealousy, that can be a negative Taurus trait. Those of us who have been on the wrong side of it can push it aside. And of course everyone knows a Taurus can be stubborn. But I've (mostly) learned when to let go and when to dig my heels in and fight.

We are also stable, dependable, and very loving. My Ex showed a little of those qualities early in our relationship, but they faded too quickly. Perhaps it is simply a matter of learning to control your negative traits and emphasize your positive traits. I believe I have done a very good job of that. I have created a very stable environment for my children these past couple of years. More stable that it ever was when I was with their father. And anyone who knows me knows I am dependable (albeit sometimes a little late). I can take control when I need to, or pass it along to someone more qualified. I am very loyal, and know how to keep the occasional petty jealousy to myself. And I am affectionate. With the right person. :)

I am so glad to get that out finally. Sometimes it has to come out of the head to make sense, no?

That reminds me, since seeing Transporter 3 I occasionally like to spout things out in a Ukranian accent. It sounds Russian too. At least I think so. Of course I don't really do this in front of people who would think I'm nuts. I save it for those who know I'm nuts. Tis fun. :)
