Just stuff

I have been single now for one year and two months. About that anyway, I really don't remember which day of the month I became free. I use the word free because I had been wanting freedom for about a couple of years at that point. But sometimes you get stuck. Sometimes the other person involved wants you to be stuck. Its easier than you think to get that way, especially if you have to think about more than just yourself. When there are kids involved you can't just up and leave. You have to be able to take care of the kids.


So one year and two months ago I became free. I have struggled and worked to become more and more independent ever since. Along the way I have met a bunch of people and made a lot of good friends. And I'm still meeting new people and making new friends all the time. And I have something I didn't have two years ago. I have hope for a better, happier future.


New guy didn't get to come over last Saturday. He was moving on Sunday and didn't have everything ready, so we postponed. He was supposed to come over last night, but got sick at work yesterday morning and ended up sleeping all day and didn't make it. He was better this morning, so I guess we will see what happens this week. I get a four day weekend this week. :)

My date

We went to see 30 days of nights. I let him pick the movie. I haven't mentioned the guy I went out with before. I met him the first time a month or so ago, he's a friend of my roommate. Then we started emailing occasionally on myspace. And we went out. I had fun, a nice comfortable, getting to know each other date. :)

And life moves on...

I'm going to a movie Friday night, with a guy. :)
