Higher Education

Today I completed the requirements for my Master's Degree in Accounting.  A little paperwork and the Degree will be mailed to me.  Just over two years of hard work completed.

Nature's Glitter

I experienced the most unusual phenomenon this morning.  My office is across the street from the river.  This morning, like a lot of mornings, there was fog on our road.  What was unusual about this morning is that it was around 20 degrees outside (Fahrenheit).  When I got out of my car I noticed sparkles around me.  It was mostly noticeable when looking towards the sun.  The fog was frozen!  It was the most amazing thing.  When I moved to a better position it looked like silver glitter floating all around me.  I tried to get a picture, but it wouldn't come out on a regular phone camera.

Sometimes nature gives you the most unexpected beauty.

Hibernation

I spent the whole weekend inside.  Picked up any necessities on the way home from work Friday afternoon so I did not have to leave the house all weekend.  It has been warm, cozy, and lazy.  I have to go out tomorrow for work, but for the last 48 hours + I remained indoors avoiding weather in the teens.

Paris is always a good idea.

The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

The Tuesday back to work after a three day weekend always seems like Monday times two.  Going back to work today after a four day weekend was even worse.  There were signs before I even left the house.  I woke up stressing over something ridiculous and fell back to sleep for just a bit before the alarm went off.  Then there were problems with the kid.  Always problems with the kid, 13 is a wonderful age for anything but girls.  Then the cat who can never get enough to eat, wouldn't eat.  For the first time in over a year, he didn't finish his food.  This is the same scaredy cat who hides all the time, so I couldn't even get hold of him to see if there was something obviously wrong.

Work was a lot of not getting what I planned to do done.  An unexpected trip across town.  Random annoyances popping up.

And to top it all off, my bank account is off.  😒


It wasn't all bad, I did get a few things accomplished at work and home.  The cat seems fine, he and one other have shared a cold.  I think he's not quite over it.  Stuffy nose = not wanting to eat.  He did eat eventually, he was just slow at it.

Tomorrow will be better.  Or I will go back to bed.  Either option is a win.  😉

Look What I Did!

My sister found a shark's tooth at the beach this summer. She asked me to make it into a necklace for her husband's birthday. I wirewrapped the tooth and made a natural colored hemp necklace with twist knots. Bead closure. They both loved it! My first custom job. ;)

Taking orders now!

I can take orders for crafts here on blogger any time. All I need is a valid email address linked to Paypal account. The necklace below I am particularly proud of. It is 18" long with a toggle clasp. I am unhappy with Artfire. I know some who do well there, but I decided to work with Etsy now. There is a cute little widget on the sidebar.
