Crickets chirp
The air conditioner hums
Boards creak as the upstairs neighbor walks across a room
A car passes quietly
Another car starts and sits a few minutes before pulling out
The air conditioner stops
Crickets still chirp
A car alarm in the distance goes off then is silenced
The upstairs neighbor walks back across the room
A dog barks briefly
A car thumps by with a loud stereo
A neighbors air conditioning unit starts
And the crickets still chirp

erm... and that may have been my stereo. sorry. hehe....
The fiction part is the crickets. I haven't been able to hear crickets in years. LoL
