Ok, I hate telemarketers. I hang up on them, I am rude to them. Well, I just got a call from a guy selling stuff for Handicap people. Not a donation, just an opportunity to let handicap people work by selling stuff over the phone.
I'm on the "Do Not Call Registry" which has cut calls down to only charitable requests, and I hang up on those people too.
I once donated $20. to Habitats For Humanity, and began receiving Christian mailings (from them) by the ton. I'm sure they spent more on the mailings than my measly donation which was meant to go towards nails and whatnot.
I used to keep alist and track the company, person's name, if they worked directly for the company or for a separate telemarketing firm, and the date. It was tricky to get them to divulge, but when they did I'd ask to be taken off their list. I got one credit card company to zero out a 300+ bill because they broke the do-not-call rule.
That is called an invasion of your privacy. Not evil. Telling them to hold on and placing the phone down for an hour while they hang on to hope that you'll come back, and they might make one sale that day, that is EVIL! Great stuff.

That is evil. But awesome.
Caller id is my best friend. And like sierrabella I'm on the 'Do not call' list. I got a call from those handicapped people too the other day.

I'm an equal rights guy. If handicapped people can be annoying, they can be hung up on.
