Spring is in the air
It's warm weather here. My violas are blooming and I need to clean out the flower beds so the other flowers can start growing again. Little B and I have just gotten over colds and T moved to Maryland to live with her dad. It's temporary. I think. After the new gameboy and magenta razor cell phone, she may not want to come back. Mommy is a mean ass you know. ;)
Ok, that's it. Just a shorty update post. Now everyone wave hi to the stalker on your way through.

Movies
For those of you that don't read my other blog, I have a roommate now. I emptied out my downstairs office and that's now her room. This week we watched a couple of awesome movies, so I thought I would blog about it here. It's a nice neutral topic that shouldn't offend those-who-still-read-this-even-though-I-asked-them-not-to. These are not reviews and I didn't want to blow the endings for those who haven't seen them. It's simply my opinions.
First movie, Lady in the Water. We saw that last night. I put off seeing it for so long because of all the "oh it's not all that good" stuff that came out about it. Well, I loved it. It was better than The Village, not as good as Unbreakable or The Sixth Sense. And did you know he wrote the screenplay for Stuart Little?? I loved that movie! But I digress, Lady in the Water was just a tad slow, but still interesting enough to hold my attention. And ask Bubbles, she will tell you just how short my attention span is. The thing is, this movie was rather fantastical in a mythical sort of way, and that just appeals to me. I do believe it may become one of my favorite movies. Oh, and M. Night Shyamalan was in it tons compared to how much he's shown up in his other movies. He's kinda cute too. lol.
But not as cute as my new favorite hunk (after Hugh Jackman and Johnny Depp of course). Leonardo Dicaprio. Yeah, him, amazing isn't it? I mean he always had cute fresh face boyish good looks, but the boy has grown up. And he's hot. Allow me to show you:

The movie we saw with Leonardo was The Departed. I wasn't completely thrilled with the ending, but it was still a good movie. A very long movie. lol. It had an outstanding cast. Along with Leonardo, it also had Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Alec Baldwin, Martin Sheen, and Mark Walburg. It's not a mushy feel-good movie. Lots of shooting, don't let the kids watch. ;)
Speaking of the kids, you have to let them see Cinderella III. The wicked step-bitch gets hold of the magic wand and fucks things up for Cinderelly. No sitting around waiting for help this time, Cinderella goes after her man, but he did get to come to the rescue once. Very balanced. Very feel-good movie. And funny in spots too. :)

I don't fucking like the new blogger
I have shit to post on the other place and I can't because blogger is transferring my stuff and apparently it takes a while and I have to wait for a stupid email and this is just one more thing to piss me off. My bad week has turned into a bad month and I WANT TO POST ABOUT IT BUT I CAN'T HERE BECAUSE OF CERTAIN NOSY ASS PEOPLE WHO WON'T MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS.
So that's all for now. I should sign off the internet completely I dont' have time for it anymore, but it's one of the very few things that still brings me occasional joy, so I'm here.
fuck.

pissed off
Ok, so I have a secret blog. I have deleted what little used to be there, because I don't feel like sharing it. But I think I'm going to have to start using my secret blog as my regular blog. This blog will still be here, because it's MINE. But I don't expect to post to it for a while.
If you want the new address, email me.
PLEASE no links to it, and don't share it with anyone, I'll share the url. I'll still comment on your blogs with my Kat username. Maybe eventually I can start posting here again because it's me, very personalized, and my new blog won't be. It may be a while before I post to either, I'm at the last two weeks of the semester.
Ok, signing out as Kat for a while.

I now know the definition of hell. It's working retail the weekend after Thanksgiving. I had a nightmare one night about putting up clothes from the dressing room, everytime I went back there were more and more clothes and it never ended. Friday, I woke up in that nightmare. And let me tell you, after Thanksgiving bargain shoppers are pigs. Maybe not all of them, sort of like when you say all men are bastards, not all are, but most are. So, on that train of thought, most bargain shoppers are pigs. P-I-G-S.
But things aren't all bad. I was invited out by a girl at work for a girls night out last Friday. I couldn't go, but hey I got invited out! Next step, actually getting out! Meeting more people. Getting out again, and again. And umm... well. You know, actually getting a life! ;)
Ok, as a treat, some eye candy.

Regurgitation of last year's post
Ode to Thanksgiving
Grandma's in the kitchen,
Cookin' up turkey.
Brother's new girlfriend,
Is way too perky.
Momma left before dawn,
To hit sales at the mall.
Daddy's in the recliner,
Cussin' at football.
Sister brought vodka,
She'll be drunk before noon.
We all avoid Aunt May,
She's the family loon.
Spending time with family,
Is a reason for living.
And I almost forgot,
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

BTW, I know the Christmas music is a little early, but we've been listening to it at work for weeks and this song is stuck in my head, so now I'm sharing it with you. ;)

Stuff
I was playing around online and found this stuff. There are some quizzes from Bubble's place below the astrology stuff.
Your Sun Sign: Taurus Sun 13° Taurus 46' What's a sun sign?
Element:
Earth
Key Planet:
Venus
You aren't necessarily like a Bull in a ring with a toreador. You could be more like peace-loving Ferdinand, seeking the gentle meadows filled with flowers, sunshine and natural beauty. It's only your stubbornness that can make you angry enough to charge at someone who is disturbing your peace. You Bulls are noted for your determination. You get to where you are going, not because you are exceptionally fast or clever, but because you will not be distracted from your goals.
Motto: "Take care of the senses and everything else will take care of itself.”
Greatest Strength: Your sensible outlook on life
Possible Weakness: Accepting less than you can achieve
Your Moon Sign: Capricorn Moon 15° Capricorn 57' What's a moon sign?
A strong sense of responsibility is likely to make you mature beyond your years. You tend not to give yourself much slack, especially when it comes to emotion. While this is great for being productive, it can make intimacy more of a challenge. Recognizing your inner needs generally requires effort since your obligations to the world often take precedence over your personal desires. Allowing yourself to feel vulnerable without immediately fixing the situation can be healthy because you need to baby yourself from time to time. This tenderness towards yourself is an act of trust and forgiveness that can soften your hard edges and show you that life is about more than getting ahead of staying in control.
Motto: "Trying harder always works."
Greatest Strength: Inner discipline and a strong sense of responsibility
Possible Weakness: Being too tough on yourself
Your Rising Sign: Sagittarius Ascendant 26° Sagittarius 15' What's a rising sign?
You're a natural teacher, promoter or salesperson. With Sagittarius Rising you share what you know with high energy and enthusiasm like a preacher or a cheerleader. You tend to blow through the negativity others present by pushing forward your beliefs without showing any doubt. It's this obvious optimism that lifts you and those around you, bringing hope to the darkest of situations. But your natural focus tends to more on the big picture than on little details. Overlooking the small stuff can be a great asset at times because it keeps you from being distracted, but there are circumstances where it's important to bring your focus back from the far end of the horizon to an issue that's right in front of you.
Motto: "If I know something, I'll tell you about it."
Greatest Strength: Inspiring others with positive ideas
Possible Weakness: Coming across as a know-it-all
Your Chinese Sign: The Rat
The RAT … THE RELENTLESS RAT
Mantra: My charm helps me survive.
Determined when he or she wants something, the Rat will work hard to get it. Rats are also very conscious and measured around money. But under their calm, charming veneer, aggression may be lurking. The Rat uses intellectual power for critical decision-making and is a mastermind when it comes to small details. Practical, but sometimes lacking vision and courage, the Rat can block his or her success because of greed and conservatism. Inner fear makes Rats unpredictable -- so don't let their charm fool you.

You think?
| You Are A Poplar Tree |
People tend to look up to you, and it's a bit lonely at the top. Inside, you are not always self confident, but you show great courage. Mature and organized, you are reliable in any situation. You tend to have an artistic or philosophical outlook on life. You are very choosy in love and take partnership seriously. |
| What Your Bathroom Habits Say About You |
You are very independent and self-centered. You don't solve other people's problems - and you don't expect them to solve yours. Your idea of fashion is jeans and a t-shirt. Clean, if you're lucky. You are a little shy and easily embarrassed. You often wonder if you are normal. In relationships, you tend to be very romantic and demanding. You'll treat your partner like gold, but you expect a lot in return. |

Letting go
I won't be around here much anymore. This place here isn't what it used to be. It's just a sad reminder of it. I'm too tired to keep up with it. I miss what it was, and I'm afraid it will never be that way again.
I thought about just deleting it and my gmail account and just disappearing. I've thought about doing that a lot over the last few months. But there are too many people here I would miss. And I think I even have a lurker I haven't met yet. If you are too shy to comment, email me. I think there's a link to do that on my profile page. I'd like to meet you.
I will still try to read other blogs and comment occasionally and I'll try to post a few times a month. You guys can also email me anytime if you want to. :)
I leave you for now with Alanis Morrisette. I'll try to change that out at least once a month. Most likely whatever song is stuck in my head at the moment I change it. ;)
