fuck

i'm drinking alone on a thursday, how pathetic is that???

how do i get that one person whom i've asked fifteen million times to stay the fuck off my blog to actually stay the fuck off my blog?!?! i have a statcounter, i know you are there! i want to share things with my friends and i can't because you are fucking there!

someone please explain to me in very simplistic terms how to tell if someone is interested in you. And how do you make sure they know your interested without making a total ass of yourself in case they aren't interested??? I'm a total social retard.

starting over sucks. especially when you are old. and i don't feel old but i'm not young. you know?

ever notice how when you are drinking that the shift key doesn't work right?

Untitled

I now know the definition of hell. It's working retail the weekend after Thanksgiving. I had a nightmare one night about putting up clothes from the dressing room, everytime I went back there were more and more clothes and it never ended. Friday, I woke up in that nightmare. And let me tell you, after Thanksgiving bargain shoppers are pigs. Maybe not all of them, sort of like when you say all men are bastards, not all are, but most are. So, on that train of thought, most bargain shoppers are pigs. P-I-G-S.

But things aren't all bad. I was invited out by a girl at work for a girls night out last Friday. I couldn't go, but hey I got invited out! Next step, actually getting out! Meeting more people. Getting out again, and again. And umm... well. You know, actually getting a life! ;)

Ok, as a treat, some eye candy.

Regurgitation of last year's post

Ode to Thanksgiving

Grandma's in the kitchen,
Cookin' up turkey.
Brother's new girlfriend,
Is way too perky.

Momma left before dawn,
To hit sales at the mall.
Daddy's in the recliner,
Cussin' at football.

Sister brought vodka,
She'll be drunk before noon.
We all avoid Aunt May,
She's the family loon.

Spending time with family,
Is a reason for living.
And I almost forgot,
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

BTW, I know the Christmas music is a little early, but we've been listening to it at work for weeks and this song is stuck in my head, so now I'm sharing it with you. ;)

Stuff

I was playing around online and found this stuff. There are some quizzes from Bubble's place below the astrology stuff.

Your Sun Sign: Taurus Sun 13° Taurus 46' What's a sun sign?

Element:
Earth
Key Planet:
Venus

You aren't necessarily like a Bull in a ring with a toreador. You could be more like peace-loving Ferdinand, seeking the gentle meadows filled with flowers, sunshine and natural beauty. It's only your stubbornness that can make you angry enough to charge at someone who is disturbing your peace. You Bulls are noted for your determination. You get to where you are going, not because you are exceptionally fast or clever, but because you will not be distracted from your goals.

Motto: "Take care of the senses and everything else will take care of itself.”
Greatest Strength: Your sensible outlook on life
Possible Weakness: Accepting less than you can achieve

Your Moon Sign: Capricorn Moon 15° Capricorn 57' What's a moon sign?

A strong sense of responsibility is likely to make you mature beyond your years. You tend not to give yourself much slack, especially when it comes to emotion. While this is great for being productive, it can make intimacy more of a challenge. Recognizing your inner needs generally requires effort since your obligations to the world often take precedence over your personal desires. Allowing yourself to feel vulnerable without immediately fixing the situation can be healthy because you need to baby yourself from time to time. This tenderness towards yourself is an act of trust and forgiveness that can soften your hard edges and show you that life is about more than getting ahead of staying in control.

Motto: "Trying harder always works."
Greatest Strength: Inner discipline and a strong sense of responsibility
Possible Weakness: Being too tough on yourself

Your Rising Sign: Sagittarius Ascendant 26° Sagittarius 15' What's a rising sign?

You're a natural teacher, promoter or salesperson. With Sagittarius Rising you share what you know with high energy and enthusiasm like a preacher or a cheerleader. You tend to blow through the negativity others present by pushing forward your beliefs without showing any doubt. It's this obvious optimism that lifts you and those around you, bringing hope to the darkest of situations. But your natural focus tends to more on the big picture than on little details. Overlooking the small stuff can be a great asset at times because it keeps you from being distracted, but there are circumstances where it's important to bring your focus back from the far end of the horizon to an issue that's right in front of you.

Motto: "If I know something, I'll tell you about it."
Greatest Strength: Inspiring others with positive ideas
Possible Weakness: Coming across as a know-it-all

Your Chinese Sign: The Rat

The RAT … THE RELENTLESS RAT

Mantra: My charm helps me survive.

Determined when he or she wants something, the Rat will work hard to get it. Rats are also very conscious and measured around money. But under their calm, charming veneer, aggression may be lurking. The Rat uses intellectual power for critical decision-making and is a mastermind when it comes to small details. Practical, but sometimes lacking vision and courage, the Rat can block his or her success because of greed and conservatism. Inner fear makes Rats unpredictable -- so don't let their charm fool you.

You think?

You Are A Poplar Tree

People tend to look up to you, and it's a bit lonely at the top.
Inside, you are not always self confident, but you show great courage.
Mature and organized, you are reliable in any situation.
You tend to have an artistic or philosophical outlook on life.
You are very choosy in love and take partnership seriously.

What Your Bathroom Habits Say About You

You are very independent and self-centered. You don't solve other people's problems - and you don't expect them to solve yours.

Your idea of fashion is jeans and a t-shirt. Clean, if you're lucky.

You are a little shy and easily embarrassed. You often wonder if you are normal.

In relationships, you tend to be very romantic and demanding. You'll treat your partner like gold, but you expect a lot in return.

Letting go

I won't be around here much anymore. This place here isn't what it used to be. It's just a sad reminder of it. I'm too tired to keep up with it. I miss what it was, and I'm afraid it will never be that way again.

I thought about just deleting it and my gmail account and just disappearing. I've thought about doing that a lot over the last few months. But there are too many people here I would miss. And I think I even have a lurker I haven't met yet. If you are too shy to comment, email me. I think there's a link to do that on my profile page. I'd like to meet you.

I will still try to read other blogs and comment occasionally and I'll try to post a few times a month. You guys can also email me anytime if you want to. :)

I leave you for now with Alanis Morrisette. I'll try to change that out at least once a month. Most likely whatever song is stuck in my head at the moment I change it. ;)

Don't you hate it when you ask someone to stop reading your blog and they won't?

A little fun before starting homework

I stole this from Xmichra.

You are The High Priestess

Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.

The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularily when it comes to your moods.

I'm going to ramble now

I just realized I never added Karma to my sidebar! So I did. If I missed anyone else, tell me.

I had another test today in my PC Hardware class, on hard drives. I made an 85, but with the curve it went up to a 96.

My boss is pissing me off. I discussed my hours with her a couple of weeks ago and she cut me back a little, but now she is giving me more again. AND I have to work at least four Sundays between now and Christmas. I was only working one Sunday a month. I told her before she hired me that Sundays are hard. This week I work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. School is Monday and Wednesdays. I'm there about five hours. So it's not like a couple of one hour classes. It's a three hour class and a one and a half hour class. She said she might give me Tuesday off. Lot of good that does. I have to go out to school sometime Tuesday for the Financial Aid fair. So I never have a day when I have nothing to do. I miss spending time with my toddler. Whenever I am at home I have to clean something, or she wants to play with my oldest, which is nice, but Mommy wants lovin's too!

Speaking of lovin's...

I'm not getting any. Yeah. That's what I meant. It just hit me this week, ok? None. Nada. Zip. I didn't even want it before! But now I kinda do. I should get some new toys. ;)

I haven't dyed my hair in a while, and I miss doing it. The thrill of fresh new color! So, I'm thinking I might do it again. Even though the reason I stopped for a while was because my hair is a bit dryish. So, what do you guys think? To dye, or not to dye. Did I mention we are reading Hamlet in English? We are. What was I sayin? Oh yeah, my hair. Any suggestions on the color? It's light brown/dark blonde naturally. I could go blonder, haven't done that in a while. Or I could go red again. Last time I did it didn't quite come out though. But I could try a different red. Maybe a darker red.

Ok, I should get off of this and work on an essay I have to do. It's not due until Monday, but I won't have much time this weekend to work on it.

I was wet today, but not in the good way...

It's rainy today. Rainy and chilly and icky. So it was a blah day. Not bad or sad, just blah. I had to work and it was nice when I went so I didn't bother wearing my coat. I wore the cutest little pink shirt with white sleeves so that it looks layered but it's just one shirt. Anyway, it's cute but not much to keep out the chills. When I left work it was raining. I got wet going to the car, running into the bank, running into the store, running into my mom's to get the girls, I was just dampish and chilly for a couple of hours. And no, I don't have an umbrella. I used to, but I don't know where it went and frankly, with a toddler in tow you tend to get more wet if you try to use an umbrella anyway. I usually wear a certain jacket I have that isn't really a raincoat, but keeps the damp out.

While I was in the kitchen getting dinner ready I was hit with this feeling that something is coming. But not something bad, it wasn't a forboding, it was a good feeling. A warm and toasty feeling. It was a really strong feeling too. After today warm and toasty would be rather nice. :)

Xmichra's meme, finally

1. You get to live a life of a character in any book. Who’s life would you live?? That's hard. hmmm.. Well it would have to be an extraordinary character. I read a set of books once about shapeshifters and one chick was awesome. But I can't remember the name of the trilogy. heh. I've forgotten more books then some have read. Anne Rice's characters are awesome, but her vampires don't get to have sex, that sucks. lol. I could follow Xmichra's example and pick an Amorlia character, that's the only book I've read in months anyway, lol. How about the werecat, Sa'raa? That's pretty cool even though she lost her love and has to be immortal. You know I'm starting to just like my own life. ;)

2. I am taking you out to dinner. My treat, and the sky is the limit. What do you order, and where do we go? The restaurant upstairs in Cinderella's castle at Disney World. (I forgot the name of it) They have this amazing pork dish (which I also forgot the name of). It came with some little red potatoes that melted in your mouth. mmmm. Very good, very expensive. We used our free meal there when we went two years ago. ;)

3. You have to irradiate a color, a number, a letter and a vegetable from this planet. What would they be, and why?? Color: Vols orange. I'm so sick of UT football already. I like some oranges, especially around fall, but this bright orange that is draped everywhere has got to go. I guess it goes with living in a college city. A number: hmmm... I like all numbers. yeah, really. Letter:J because I can't make it in cursive right. And YES that is really the only reason. I promise. Vegitable: Turnip. Why? Just say it "tuuurnipppp" It's an icky word for an icky root.

4. You get to have a whole day to yourself, and spend as much money as you want. What would you do? Just a day? I suppose that cuts out traveling. How about half the day at the spa getting an all over massage (work hurts my little body), a facial and microdermawhatever they call it, and a pedicure. Then the other half at the mall shopping! I miss shopping.

5. You are another race. What did you choose and why? Asian. First off, I would probably still be petite and I like being petite. :) Second off, I just think they are beautiful. ex: Kelly Hu (Xmen 2), Sandra Oh (Grey's anatomy, I just love that show), Yunjin Kim (Lost), Lucy Liu. I could go on with the examples for days.

6. You get to decide the religion of the world.. everyone will follow it. What would it be? How about I don't answer this on the basis that I live in the south and prefer not to discuss politics and religion. ;)

7. I give you a pencil, paper and wave some creative faerie dust on you, what do you make? The Great-American-Novel of course.

8. If you could go back in your life, what would you change?? These questions are soooo hard. It's easy to say, oh wow I screwed that up, but if you change it then you may lose out on something good that resulted from it. So, nothing to change. I chose to suffer through all my stupid mistakes because I learned from them.

9. Your life is falling apart. Seriously falling to pieces.. no dramatics. You are losing your job, your house, your spouse, everything is on the verge of crashing. What would you do? I saved the house, lost the SUV, but have a new/old car, divorce is imminent but I'm still able to work part time and go to school. OH wait, you meant hypothetically, I was confused cuz my life sort of did fall apart. :P

10. Just for fun, you get to ask any question to me. And I will try my best to answer. What will you ask? A question for Xmichra: hmmm... If you could live in whatever city in the world that you wanted just for a year, then go back home, all expenses covered, what city would you live in, just for the experience?

Just stuff

I was driving home from the store admiring the golden, orange, and red of the hills/ridges/whatever surrounding the little area we live in and I realized something. I'm happy. When the hell did that happen? I've been so busy with work and school that I haven't really thought about it.

I want to thank everyone for the compliments on our Halloween costumes. :)

Last week, I lost my keys. For two days. Luckily I have a spare set. My oldest daughter finally found them in a kitchen drawer. Monday I realized my Ipod was missing. I found it that night on the mantle partially hidden by Bastet and a candle holder. Next thing I lose will be my mind.

Remember the 100 I made on my Computer test last week? I was the only one. I messed up the chance of a curve. That tickles me just a little. ;)
