Fiction Friday - Back by popular demand!
Pleasure After Business
Noel sat at the end of the bar where she could see everyone that entered. It was a small local bar filled with smoke and business men. Finally she saw him, the man she was waiting for. He was tall and well built with dark hair and eyes. The grey business suit he wore blended in with the other men as he took a seat in the middle of the bar. Noel ordered a another drink for herself and second one for him. She motioned for him to join her when the bartender pointed her out.
"Thanks for the drink." He said as he stared at her chest. She turned towards him and his eyes moved down to the short black skirt that showed off most of her long shapely legs.
"You're welcome. Have a seat."
After a little conversation and a few more drinks for him they decided to leave the bar. He drove them to the nearest cheap hotel and checked them in while she waited. As soon as they were in the room she pressed herself against him. As they kissed she slipped his jacket off and he began unbuttoning her deep red blouse revealing a black silk bra. She pulled him towards the bed and sat on the end. Kneeling before her he kissed her neck moving lower. She pressed his head against her breasts and reached behind her for the dagger hidden in her waistband.
He died quickly and quietly, just how she liked it. She buttoned her blouse and retrieved his keys from the jacket lying in the floor. In the backseat of the car she found his briefcase and the disc she was sent to retreive. A quick drop-off and her business would be done. Noel smiled to herself. With her business finished so early, there was plenty of time to go out for a little fun.
For the next chapter in Noel's story see Chris.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUBBLES!
Today is my friend Bubble's birthday. In honor of her birthday, I have assembled some very fine eye candy. Enjoy!
First off, one of her favorites Matthew McConaughey.
Next, another hottie I know she likes, Michael Weatherly from NCIS (and once upon a time Dark Angel).
Michael Weatherly again. (Ok, so he's one of my favorites!)
I know I have some male readers out there, so for the guys....
Michael Weatherly with Jessica Alba!

Christmas shopping and wierd dreams.
Well, here it is the day after Christmas and am I out hitting all the clearance sales? Hell no, I haven't even made it out of bed! I'm only online because hubby left his laptop in the bedroom. I've had a tummy ache ALL NIGHT. And my little one has a cold, complete with a small fever, so she was in the bed kicking my already pained tummy. I would have gone to the couch, but I felt I should be near a bathroom, just in case.
I had a really weird tummy-ache induced dream last night. I was in a car with these people, and they stopped to pick up someone, but I totally freaked, grabbed one of the girls cell phone and bolted from the car. Then I was running down this really nasty dirty area looking for some people I know, I called them on the cell phone to find out where they were. I had to go back through the nasty dirty area where I distinctly remember seeing a dead kitten!
Then I needed to cross a short bridge but for some reason I was under it. There was a kitty there looking at another dead kitty. The dead one was really gross. I barely looked. The live one was rather large and orange with black points and blue eyes. I carried it across the little bridge and away to where I was meeting the friends. But I left him outside their apartment, because the don't have kitties. For some reason I knew he would wait.
That is where the dream ends, or shifts, or I just don't remember. Isn't that wierd? A few relevant facts: I have two kitties, one tuxedo colored black and white and an orange tabby. They are both rather large kitties 13 lbs each but they are slim, not an ounce over wieght. So real life was probably blurring a little in the dream. It is still wierd, and it was very vivid.
My tummy seems to be feeling better, maybe I will make it out to shop after all!

Insomniac Ramblings
Ok, so my last post was not very Christmasy. I am having so much trouble getting into the Christmas stuff this year. Holy crap, I just realized it became Christmas Eve twenty minutes ago. It just doesn't seem like it should be here yet. My youngest has a birthday coming up too. January 6 she will be 2! We are going to take her to the Build-a-Bear store. She can pick an animal and dress it (with help). I think she will have fun. My oldest has been twice now, and she loves it. Guess I better get to bed or I will be too tired to make cookies tomorrow.
Merry Christmas!

Porn Addiction
I came across something online about men addicted to porn and how it ruins whole families. I don't understand it. I can see how people can get addicted to a substance. And even gambling with the possibility of winning large sums of money. But how can you get addicted to watching two (or more) people going at it like animals? I'm not talking about your average spank-the-nursey adult movie. They watch hardcore nasty shit. The thing that bothered me the most was the men that watch rape porn. Yes, there is actually porn video made to look like rape. At least I hope they are acting. It is just disgusting how low some people will go.

Tap Class
After having my digital camera for almost two years, I have figured out the software! I spliced several sections together and added music. It is my oldest's tap class, the music I added is "Santa Baby", by Madonna. I have spent two days trying to get this to upload to the internet. It wouldn't work for You Tube after I fixed it up and I couldn't get the videos from my camera software to work on Windows Movie Maker. So I found a new location for it. I think you have to have Quicktime for this to work, you can download it free here.
Well, what are you waiting for? Go see my video!

I've been tagged!
This is my first time being tagged! I've been tagged by Rae ann. I have to list five of the weirdest things or habits about me. So here it goes:
1. The toilet paper has to hang on the roll facing the correct way. The paper should roll over the top, not come from underneath the roll. And yes, I have been known to change the rolls at other peoples homes.
2. I don't like steak sauce, any of them. I like ketchup on my steak. But, if there isn't ketchup on the table already, I am too embarassed to ask for it, so I eat it plain.
3. I prefer overhead lighting to lamps. Lamps are for using in the evening. Overhead lighting is for everything else. I have been told that this is weird. Although I don't understand why.
4. I have two girls and I used to hate the color pink. It has grown on me over the years. I'm still picky about the shade of pink. Purplish pink is good, pepto pink is bad. Pale pink is the best.
5. If I get close enough to a real tree, I touch them. Especially Oak trees. They make me feel good.
I'm not sure who hasn't been tagged yet, so if you want to do it, leave a comment and go for it!

Holiday
This week has been full of holiday stuff. Thursday night was T's ballet class party, I posted a little clip of that yesterday. Friday her class at school had a pizza party at lunch time, but I didn't get to go to that because little B wasn't feeling well. She's fine now. Saturday morning was T's tap class party, I will post a little clip of that later in the week. Lunch on Saturday we did the holiday thing with my husband's family.
We all met at Mandarin House for the buffet. Now this is no small thing here. We have hubby's parents, his FOUR siblings(two sis, two bro), three sibling's are married, with two kids each, plus our family of four. Now, for those of you without a calculator that is 2+4+4+4+1+4=19. Three of those in highchairs.
After lunch we went over to hubby's youngest brother's house to open gifts. Then it was dessert, kids playing, and grownups talking, the usual.
Holiday stuff is fun, but it's kinda nice that there isn't a lot more to plan for! We have to go see my sis who just had the baby for a short visit. A Christmas Eve service at church. Then of course the kids open presents Christmas morning. Then my mom is coming over for dinner after church (which they are having a little late, it is a musical program by the choir). So most of the business of Christmas is over, and now we can just relax and enjoy the fun part of it. That reminds me, we haven't gone cruising to see Christmas lights yet! Another fun, no hassle Christmas tradition of ours. My youngest is just big enough to see and enjoy them!

Movie maker
I came across HizzleThizzle's blog, and she had made this fun movie at D.FILM. So I made one too. I'm such a copy-kat! Go see my movie here. It is really corny, with bad dialog, but I had fun making it! Everyone should try it!

NEW ARRIVAL!
Here is my sis, the lovely mommy holding our newest family member. She was born Wednesday night. 8lbs, 1oz. These pictures were taken Thursday afternoon.
Here is my oldest peeking at her. She has dark skin and a full head of black hair. She also has really long toes just like her mommy who got them from our grandmother. My oldest has the same feet too! How neat for them as cousins to have a feature that matches.
Here is my hubby holding the baby and my little one. The baby got upset and B was trying to soothe her, we think. She was very gentle when she touched her. I was very proud. She can't say the baby's name yet. She can't say her 'L's yet. So she just calls her "baby".
Check out that dark hair. She's even a bit more red than my babies were when they were born. We have a bit of Cherokee in us, mostly no one notices, but we have a few tendencies we inherited from that branch of our family tree.
Decorating for the Holidays
We put the tree up this last weekend. Here is a picture of the baby "helping". I also put lights up on our back fence. I wanted to put lights on the roof, but our new house is a two story, and we don't have a ladder tall enough. Guess I had better put that on our wish list!
Here is T. showing off her science project. Her report grade was a 105, and the project received a 100!
Little B. showing off her new house shoes.

Fiction Friday ~ A little late
Gretchen had taken all she could stand. Henry, her husband of two years had done everything wrong again. The toilet paper was facing the wrong direction, she had to fix it. When he brushed his teeth, he had squeezed the tube from the middle, again. After all that time she spent carefully pushing the toothpaste out of the end, her hard work was completely undone. And then there was the worst offense of all. He had left the toilet seat up, again.
After she picked up his dirty clothes and put them into the hamper, two feet away from where he had left them, she took the toilet seat and lid completely off the toilet. If he wasn't going to use it right, he couldn't use it at all. She was carrying the heavy seat and lid into the living room when she tripped on something in the doorway. The seat flew out of her hands as she went to catch herself from landing on her face. She pushed herself up to see what she had tripped over. Henry's shoes were lying in the middle of the walkway.
"Henry, help me. I think I've sprained my ankle." She waited, but there was no answer. So she called again, louder in case he was in the kitchen. "Henry!" Still, no answer.
She pushed herself up and hobbled over to the back of his recliner. There he was, in his seat as always. The remote control was in his hand. The heavy toilet seat was perched neatly on his head, his eyes blankly staring at a TV he would never see again.
The Medical Examiner filed it as a household accident, the strangest one he had ever seen. Gretchen was so upset when police and ambulance arrived that nobody doubted it was anything but an accident.
For the rest of her life, when she spoke of Henry, she would always end with "If only he had put that damn toilet seat down, he'd be alive today!"

Room number 2
Here is room number two. It is a three year old boys room. It already had an existing chairrail so the plan was brown on the top, red on the bottom. This boy is a huge Spiderman fan, and the red looks very spidermanish.
Bubbles and I removed the wallpaper. It took HOURS.
Wallpaper off, next was cleanup. After this we called it a night.
Bubbles, her parents, and hubby painted the top brown. I came over later, and helped with the red. Here is me getting started.
My kids waiting for their daddy to pick them up.
I haven't transferred all the pictures from my camera yet. I will post a picture of Room number two after we finished tomorrow. I am also planning a post of what the guys did to the living room.

Painting!
I know, it is a day later than promised, but better late than never, right? Here are some pictures of us fixing up room number one, the Master Bedroom. We had everything we needed, paint, supplies... stepladder? We forgot the stepladder. Pretty funny considering I'm only 5'1", and Bubbles is barely taller than that. But her hubby was doing the trim at the ceiling later anyway, and she had an extender for the roller, the only problem was taking the window treatments down. Luckily Bubble's little brother came to the rescue. Balancing precariously on a paint can with a bum leg, he was able to reach. Of course, big sis was there to make sure he didn't lose his balance.
Here is me, I did the trim along the floor, windows, and doors. Bubbles herself did the rest of the walls with the roller. I was too busy trying not to let her catch up to get a picture of her. We did three out of four walls that night, then her and hubby finished it up later. I told ya, this chick was on a time schedule.
Here is a partially finished wall showing the bathroom. Isn't that red wall awesome?
Here is me putting the blinds back up the next day (with the stepladder someone finally remembered).
Is it just me, or do those jeans make my butt look big?

A Preview of Posts to come
I recently helped a friend do some painting and wallpaper removing in her new home. Stuff I need to do in my own new home, but she was on a time schedule and I'm going slow picking stuff out. I have pictures of our fun, here are a few to start you off. I will post more over the next week.
Here is my oldest watching and trying to not be in the way.
Here is my baby running in the basement den. The lime green and orange shag carpet was pulled up and replaced a few days after we took these pictures.
Here is the baby again. She seems to be telling me something, and looks oh, so innocent. This was just before we put her in a bedroom with lots of toys and a baby gate across the door so we could paint. She wasn't happy about that.
I'll post pictures of the painting tomorrow!

Fiction Friday~a day early
Ode to Thanksgiving
Grandma's in the kitchen,
Cookin' up turkey.
Brother's new girlfriend,
Is way too perky.
Momma left before dawn,
To hit sales at the mall.
Daddy's in the recliner,
Cussin' at football.
Sister brought vodka,
She'll be drunk before noon.
We all avoid Aunt May,
She's the family loon.
Spending time with family,
Is a reason for living.
And I almost forgot,
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Baby coming!
No, not me! My sister is due next month, and this last Saturday was her baby shower. I have a few fun pictures to share.
Here is the Mommy-to-be!
Here is my oldest, being a big girl. She got to play the games and came in second place in one!
My little one has the cold again and was a little dopey on medicine at the beginning of the shower. Here she is on my youngest sister's lap.
Then she found the balloon decorations and perked up. Se that little bit of blue between the two bunches? That's her! She ran all over the place pulling one or both bunches behind her.
